Living in Brussels like a Brussels resident!

By Bed&Brussels
Laurent and Marie, French tourists, June 2019

To celebrate our 10th anniversary of marriage, we headed to Brussels for a weekend. Paris, Brussels 1h30 by Thalys.

We had booked in advance a guest room on the Bed & Brussels site. We were looking for a personal welcome, a nice neighbourhood and advice on the city. We have come at the right time! Pascale our host is a lover of Brussels. She told us about the good tips for restaurants, bars, museums and walks to do.

After a good breakfast prepared by Pascale, we set off to discover Brussels. At first, we were not conquered, but as it was discovered, we loved this city! It is a city full of surprises, charm, corners and nooks, different architectural styles, different atmospheres. There is a rich cultural life and an astonishing multiculturalism. And then we eat well…”

Try out the free Greeters visits.

The Greeters are volunteer guides who share their favourites, their favourite districts, anecdotes… for the duration of a visit. These Brussels residents offer unusual and original visits, free of charge.

Laurent and Marie's advice

A nice idea to do is to visit the parks of Brussels by bike. You can rent Vilo bicycles, which are available in many terminals. You can also do it by electric bike (Jump or Villyp) or even by electric scooter (Lime).
