Mémorial VandammeMajor athletics event created in 1977 by a group of journalists to honor the memory of Belgian athlete Ivo Van Damme. This meeting which takes place in the King Baudouin stadium in Brussels always attracts track and field stars. New world and European records are regularly broken.
The course of the “20km of Brussels” links the most beautiful monuments of the City of Brussels and the Brussels-Capital Region. Start and finish are in the Parc du Cinquantenaire.
The Brussels Marathon is an annual event certified and organized by the Association of International Marathons and Distances Races. It is normally held in autumn. There is also a half marathon sponsored by Brussels Airport.
